How to use

Edit playlists together

Updated September 14, 2026

A playlist can have more people looking after it, like the family's weekly menu or the dishes for a party. You invite people with a link, and whoever accepts edits the recipes together with you.

Invite

  1. Open the playlist and choose Editors.
  2. Choose Create invite link.
  3. Copy the link or send it on WhatsApp to whoever will edit.

Whoever opens the link needs to sign in to a ShakeThere account and choose Join and edit.

What editors can do

| Can | Can't | |---|---| | Add recipes | Change the name, description or who can see it | | Remove recipes | Share the playlist or see its share link | | Change the order | Invite or remove people, or delete the playlist |

Editors see the playlist's shared recipes. Your private recipes show up for them as Recipe unavailable.

To add one of their own recipes to your playlist, an editor needs to share it (with a link or publicly). Editors' private recipes can't be added.

Change or turn off the invite

In Editors:

  • Create a new link makes a new invite. The previous one stops working, and people who already edit keep editing.
  • Turn off invite ends the link. To invite someone else, create a new one.

Remove someone

In Editors, choose Remove next to their name. They can no longer see or edit the playlist. Recipes they added stay in it.

For editors: leave

Playlists you edit show up in Playlists, under You edit. To leave, open the playlist and choose Leave playlist.
