How to use
Vision and objectives (OKRs)
Updated September 13, 2026
LifeHub connects what you do every day to where you want to get:
Vision → objectives with key results (OKRs) → origins (projects, processes, routines, habits) → tasks.
Vision of each area
The vision says where you want to be in an area of life in a few years, like "Have the energy to play with my kids" in Health.
- Open Organize.
- Next to the area, choose Vision.
- Write it and choose Save vision. To remove it, erase the text and save.
Create an objective
An objective says what you want to achieve in a period. Key results show, with numbers, whether you got there.
- Open Objectives and choose New objective.
- Write the Objective, choose the Area of life and the period. This quarter, Next quarter and This year fill in the dates for you.
- Add the key results. One to five per objective is ideal, up to ten.
- Choose Create objective.
There are two kinds of key result:
| Kind | How it works | Example | |---|---|---| | Metric | Goes from a starting value to a target, with an optional unit. The target can be higher or lower than the start. | Run from 0 to 300 km; weigh from 90 to 80 kg | | Milestone | Done or not done. | Sign up for the race |
Update your progress
On the objective, choose Update next to a key result, enter the current value (or mark a milestone as Done) and, if you want, a note about what happened. Every update is kept in the key result's History.
Progress is calculated for you:
- a metric shows how far you have gone from the start to the target, from 0% to 100%. Going past the target counts as 100%;
- a milestone is 0% or 100%;
- the objective shows the average of its key results.
The card also shows how many days are left. When the period is over it says Period over.
Close, edit or delete
Choose Edit on the objective to change the title, area, period or key results. To close it, change Status to Achieved, Not achieved or Abandoned. Closed objectives move to the Closed list and keep their history.
To delete, choose Delete and then Delete for good. Key results and their history are deleted too.
Link projects and habits to a key result
In Organize, each origin has a Key result field. Link the project, process, routine or habit that moves that result forward. Projects also show how many of their tasks are done.
